Stated plainly, in public, so anyone can hold this work to them.
One rule stands over everything recorded here: raise the floor beneath everyone. It is the only moral law of the Commons, and every intention below is that rule at work.
Why this exists
Many human needs still go unmet: learning that fits the learner, knowledge that stays honest, ways of working together that do not require trusting a black box, and AI systems that refuse harm and explain themselves. These projects are one builder's attempt to put working open tools where those needs are, with the proof attached.
What this work will do
- Build open source tools for learning, coordination, knowledge, and trust, free for anyone to use, study, and fork.
- Publish the evidence with the claims: evaluations, benchmarks, failures, and fixes, all in the open.
- Invite participation at every level, from a first small contribution to institutional partnership, with credit recorded in public and in proportion to verified contribution.
- Grow by adoption through stated phase gates, and publish a written reason whenever a gate is missed.
- Give every member a voice under the democratic foundation published with this record: one person, one vote from the age a person can communicate a preference, and an equal right to contribute.
- Keep direction human. AI tools serve this work. They do not direct it, vote in it, frame its questions, or hold its agenda.
What this work will never do
- Sell user data, or collect data it does not need.
- Sell governance, influence, or credit. Recognition follows verified contribution only.
- Use dark patterns, manufactured urgency, or any design that steers people without their knowledge.
- Publish a metric that a logged run cannot back up.
- Allow a vote to be bought, weighted, inherited, or cast by proxy, or let anyone or anything quietly set the agenda the members vote on.
The money part, plainly
This work is also how its builder earns a living, and pretending otherwise would break the first intention. Income is meant to come from adoption, services, training, and anchor partnerships, earned in the open. Governance is never part of the price. When the ecosystem produces revenue beyond the builder's livelihood, the public contribution ledger is the basis for sharing it, and the terms will be published before money moves.
Skin in the game
Contributors hold credit and voice earned through verified work. Adopters hold tools that can never be taken away, because the licenses and the code are theirs. Anchors hold named standing in proportion to what they verifiably gave. And the builder's name, record, and livelihood are on the work in public, which is the first stake of all.
Questions and challenges are welcome in the open, in any repository's issues.
